Sorrel is a calorie and nutrition tracker. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short on purpose.

What we collect

Account details from your sign-in (such as your email), the profile you enter (age, height, weight, and goals), the food you log, the photos you scan, and any health data you choose to connect, such as steps and activity. We also collect basic, privacy-respecting usage analytics to improve the app.

How we use it

To calculate your calories and macros, run the features you ask for, sync your data across your devices, and improve the product. Meal photos are processed to estimate nutrition and are not used to train advertising profiles or sold to anyone.

What we do not do

We do not show ads, and we do not sell your personal data. Your health data is used only to provide the features you turn on.

Storage and deletion

Your data is stored to run the service, and you can export or delete it from within the app at any time. Deleting your account removes your logs and profile.

Your controls

You choose what health data to connect and can revoke it in your device settings. You can log entirely by hand and never use the photo feature if you prefer.
